I know a lot of us are sad that there's no Glee this week, but it just means more time to look up more fun & interesting venues for everyone!
Today we have another fun NJ venue for you. A lot of history, a great town with many attractions (and shopping), and a fun name. Just for kicks, let's look at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank!
Remember, if you like a venue or have any questions/comments for us, please don't hesitate to contact us at BringBDtoEC@gmail.com and let us know what you think! (Please let us know, we want the boys here just as much as you do!)
Peace, Love, & Bonnie Dune!

Booking:
Performing artists, ensembles and bands interested in
performing at the Count Basie Theatre should send a promotional kit to:
Programming Department, Count Basie Theatre, 99 Monmouth Street, Red Bank, NJ
07701, info@countbasietheatre.org. Before sending any materials, artists and
managers are encouraged to look at the event listings page on this web site to
determine if the theatre actually programs the genre that you or your artist works
in.
Promotional kits should include:
- - an artist bio
- - black and white or color photos
- - an audio or video recording
- - recent press clippings and reviews
Promotional materials will not be returned. The theatre
receives hundreds of booking submissions each year, and it is not possible to
return them all. Therefore, please do not send any originals that cannot be
replaced.
The theatre looks at hundreds of artists and ensembles each
year to select the handful that will actually be engaged as headliners or opening
acts. Finding just the right mix of music, dance and theatre programs each year
that can sell 1,550 seats per show is not easy. Even when the theatre is
interested in an artist, it may take years to schedule something. Therefore,
please do not take it personally when we do not respond to your mailing, please
be patient, and please put the theatre's programming staff on your mailing
list, so we have a chance to see a "live" performance.
History:
Tony Bennett has called it, “My favorite place.” Art
Garfunkel said, “This hall is to a singer what Steinway is to a pianist.” Lyle Lovett
said, “This is one of the nicest sounding rooms in the whole United States of
America.” The venue is the award winning Count Basie Theatre, listed on the
National Register of Historic Places, recognized by the New Jersey State
Council on the Arts as a Major Presenting Organization for the State of New
Jersey, by Pollstar Magazine as one of the Top 100 Worldwide Theatre Venues,
and by Contribute Magazine as one of their Top 200 Investor-Worthy
Charities. (For the full history, click here.)
